Creating opportunities – removing obstacles
The German foundation of the BNP Paribas Group was founded in 2015. It supports projects in the areas of education, solidarity, personality development through art and culture and, since 2021, also in the area of environmental and climate protection throughout Germany. More than 100,000 people have benefited from grants from the BNP Paribas Foundation since its inception.
For a fairer society
BNP Paribas Foundation’s vision is for all children and young people to have the same opportunity to discover their own strengths and talents in order to be able to develop and flourish in the best possible way.
We have made it our goal to systematically confront and remove obstacles that exist due to social disadvantage, refugee backgrounds or disabilities. This also includes conserving the environment in which these young people live.
The BNP Paribas Foundation designs its work in accordance with the principles of good foundation practice and is a member of the Association of German Foundations.
Selection of funded projects
With the help of artistic, creative and educational activities, Refugio Munich aims to support children and young people with a refugee background in overcoming past traumatic events and thus pave the way to find new joy in life and hope for successful integration, strengthen their self-confidence and give them a new zest for life.
In order to optimally involve volunteers in their work with young people in the phase between school and further education, JOBLINGE have developed a digital platform on which interested parties can find the format that suits them in just a few clicks. In addition to work and information materials, the platform also offers features such as chat, video meetings and webinars, explanatory films and much more.
The BNP Paribas Group has been supporting humanitarian efforts worldwide through the Rescue & Recover Fund since 2012. With this fund, BNP Paribas collects donations and matches them with its own funds to finance projects of NGO partner organisations.
Women with disabilities face double discrimination in the professional world and often do not feel addressed by job advertisements. In order to make it easier for these women to start their careers, the Hildegardis-Verein trains female students with disabilities as so-called InclusionGuides, who strive to initiate concrete changes in companies and develop best practices for a more inclusive work environment.
With its project „Ökologisches und nachhaltiges Handeln lernen“ – Learning to act in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way – the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University Frankfurt pursues the goal of developing innovative and illustrative mediation and teaching concepts that make the content understandable for children in the topics of biodiversity, environmental protection and sustainability.
With its annual Help2Help campaign, BNP Paribas Foundation supports charitable organisations in which employees of BNP Paribas Germany volunteer, in this way supporting the social engagement of the workforce.

Activity Report 2023
The year 2023 was again very successful for the BNP Paribas Stiftung. In numerous diverse projects, the foundation was able to further pursue its goals and now counts over 100,000 young people who have benefited from the supported projects.
In its Activity Report, the foundation reports in detail every year on its activities and current funding projects.
